Cattle and Feed Financing

For qualified customers, cattle and feed financing are both available, and we pass on the same rate we receive from our bank. Our local banks are also willing to provide financing.

Joint and Group Partnership

For customers that do not wish to feed a full pen of cattle, we would be glad to partner with them.

Marketing Assistance

We have five packers that call on us daily. They include IBP, National, ConAgra, Excel, and Booker Pack. All customers are notified when their cattle are on the showlist and are immediately contacted when one of the packers makes a bid on their cattle. At this time, we will give the customer our opinion of the market situation and then the decision to sell is made by the customer. No selling decisions will be made on our part until the customer is notified.

Risk Management Assistance

When a customer needs assistance with risk management, we can refer them to a reputable broker that will assist them in any way possible. We can also give the customer an outlook of the futures market as we see it and make any recommendations thereafter.

Cattle Purchasing Assistance

We have cattle buyers that purchase cattle for us on a weekly basis. We can contact them at the touch of a button and get almost any size and kind of cattle bought and delivered within a few days.

Custom Processing

By working with our veterinarian, we have found a system of processing that has worked extremely well for us. However, we know that only the owner of the cattle really knows what type of preconditioning the cattle have received. Therefore, we will be happy to alter our processing as the owner sees fit on their pen of cattle.

Carcass Data Evaluation

With the progressive changes going on in the cattle industry, carcass data is becoming a powerful tool in marketing one's cattle. This information can be obtained in one of the following ways.

1. National Cattleman's Beef Association Carcass Data Service which is administered by West Texas A&M University's Beef Carcass Center located in Canyon, Texas. This carcass data service requires a minimum of 50 head at $6.00 per head.

2. The packer is able to provide limited information at their respective fee.
